Zipora Hartov

Zipora specializes in wildlife, pet portraits and florals. Many of her paintings are in private collections both in the US and Europe. Her education has been varied, starting at age 12 with figure drawing classes, continuing on at Parson's School of Design, Maryland Institute College of Art, then transferring to Minneapolis College of Art & Design where she won a scholarship to study in the UK for a semester. Directly afterward, she received a grant to study in Europe, the only condition of which was to spend 2 months in Paris, where she attended a summer session of The New York Studio School with Nicholas Carrone, Wayne Theibaud, Elaine deKooning and Georgio Spaventa. She considers herself very lucky to have studied with the many distinguished artists that have graced her life and taught how to apply what she learned to her work.
