Susan Tregoning Photography

I am a travel photographer specializing in United States architecture and nature. As the 8th photographer in four generations of my family, photography has always been a part of my life. I was standing on a stool in the darkroom, so I was tall enough to help my dad develop pictures by the time I was 4 or 5. My job was to move the prints from the hypo into the water bath. I went to college for Interior Design. That was a huge shock for my family, who thought I’d enter the family business. After I graduated, I had a long, successful career as an art buyer and designer. Then, 2006 came around with a significant life change; my husband accepted a medical traveling assignment, and I decided to put my career on hold to tag along. In the process, I found my roots again. What started as casual snapshots eventually evolved into an obsession to capture every location and object as art.
