B. Mac edits Superhero Nation, a comedic website and upcoming science-fiction novel about superhero office politics.
B. Mac is a small-time journalist and political science enthusiast that hopes to spend the summer in Baghdad assisting a preliminary study of the "surge" policy. "I know a bit about politics, biology, football, nuclear warfare, Iraqi tribal history, statistics, and small arms, etc., so I'm able to make a fool of myself in any number of areas," he says. He adds that he loathes philosophy and vows that he would have forced Socrates to drink the hemlock.
B. Mac says he has two main strengths compared to Marvel and DC Comics. "One, I'm not self-important. It doesn't bother me at all that most of my readers disagree with my political views. Two, my world doesn't begin and end in New York City. I applied to the University of Munich, actually studied in Indiana, want to work in Iraq and plan to write my thesis on the Strait of Malacca. I think you could say I'm pretty open-minded." Except for Socrates.
