Kimberly Gianotti studied Interior Design at Western Washington University, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree. She has always loved the arts and is a self taught creator focusing on all things abstract. Her passion is working with mixed media, creating layer upon layer, each with it's own life peaking through. She says, "I know I'm finished with a piece when the juxtaposition of shapes, lines and colors cause a visceral reaction. I feel it in my gut". Kimberly also loves playing with abstract faces. She says, "I love creating emotion in the lack of balance. To me an abstract face is the truest representation of human expression. After all, no-one is perfect. In addition to her artistic pursuits Kimberly currently owns and operates two Cuban restaurants with her husband. Kimberly designed the restaurant interiors and showcases her original artwork there.
