À propos

Greetings! I’m Amber McEwan, and if you ask my mom, she’ll tell you I picked up a pencil at age three and haven’t put it down since. With over three decades of experience as a graphic designer, my journey began in the realm of illustration, where I was captivated by realistic sketching. Animals like elephants, pandas, polar bears, and giraffes found a cozy home in my countless sketchbooks, many of which remain, like most artists’ sketchbooks, half-finished—completing a whole one is practically an alien concept, right? I took an extra lap around high school, amassing a collection of 45 credits (well beyond the required 30) before launching into college at 17 to study graphic design. I was two years younger than my classmates, who smuggled me into every campus bar they could, tucking me away in shadowy corners—because nothing says ‘college experience’ like a bit of underage fun! After more than 30 years in local print shops, my art style has evolved from those early realistic sketches to the whimsical character creations you see today. I find joy in bringing these quirky personalities to life, and my husband is thrilled that my ever-growing collection of sketchbooks finally has a purpose!
