Seedmother

Who is Seedmother? Seedmother is really Louise Ann Donahue, that's me… dreamer and artist. I personify my subjects indulgently as a form of self-entertainment. The Seedmother series began with Lorenzo a long time ago. He was the first ROO I ever began a creative relationship with and he inspired an outpouring of more than poultry ideas. As time went on, I enjoyed an opportunity to become deeply involved in Gallus Gallus society. Living among them, I was able to study their habits and personalities. I found characters of all sorts to fertilize the seeds of my imagination. The Seedmother collection grew from the experience —a portrait of chicken life. I'd like to share it with you.
