My love of poetry inspires me to paint. Each calligram painting is created with the words of a Persian poem I love. For example, the verses in the store banner are from an ecstatic Rumi poem. They outline the bodies of two dancers, spelling, "Dance when you are shattered. Dance when you are free." I don't use traditional style of Persian or Arabic calligraphy in these calligrams. This work is primitive and often asymmetrical. All mistakes are left untouched. Look in the description section of product for more details.
