Hello and thank you for visiting YOPD Art. Yes, I am a Person With Parkinson's (PWP) and yes, I created the artwork that is on these pages as a form of therapy. I create this art to help mitigate the wide array of symptoms from Young Onset Parkinson's Disease and Dystonia that afflict me, daily. From movement issues like tremor and bradykinesia to non-motor skills like depression, art is very therapeutic. Within the past couple of years family and friends that had seen this artwork asked me why I haven't released it, in one form or another, online in particular for people to purchase. So, here it is! My little corner of the world wide web. If you have a loved one or just a friend you know that suffers from Parkinson's Disease, Dystonia or any other chronic condition, encourage them to get creative!! Your generosity helps raise awareness and fund research to, one day, find a cure for Parkinson's. Proceeds from the sale of PD related items are donated to The Light of Day Foundation, Inc., which utilizes the power of music to raise money and awareness in its continuing battle to defeat Parkinson’s disease and its related illnesses ALS (Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis) and PSP (Progressive Supranuclear Palsy) within our lifetime.
