NWF is a small hobby farm/homestead located in southern Minnesota. I fell in love black horses when I was around 2 years old, and then with the Friesian horse breed (which are primarily black) when I was 11 years old and that love carried well into adulthood. In 2017, I purchased a weanling filly (Elsa) that was half Friesian, just to get an idea if this was the type and temperament of horse I really wanted. My crossbred filly was the perfect stepping stone because she turned out to be an incredible individual; smart, sweet, a little sassy, but super lovey-dovey. I was completely smitten. Elsa is what I would call my "heart horse." In 2020, I fulfilled a 20+ year dream of purchasing my first purebred KFPS Friesian weanling. I have since become so enamored with this amazing breed, I made the decision to raise purebred KFPS Friesian horses as well as a few crossbreds - so I can share this relatively rare breed of horse with others. I also have chickens, a berry patch, garden, and have plans for more to come. While I work a full time and part time job, running this operation is no easy task - especially on a single income. Since I just had a logo created through the amazing artist of EQ Graphics, I thought it would be a great idea to offer official NWF merchandise to help with some of the expenses. Profits made from NWF gear sales goes directly back to the horses. That means it will be a supplemental income to help cover the cost of hay, grain, supplements, veterinary care, farrier care, grooming supplies, fly sprays, blankets, boots, etc. I hope you enjoy browsing through what I currently have available.
