À propos

Heather Collis is an artist whose work explores emotion through both abstract expression and interpretations of the natural world. Her process is intuitive and driven by instinct, often beginning with feeling rather than form. Drawing from personal experiences—including time spent observing wildlife up close—her animal pieces are not intended as strict realism, but as reflections of presence, personality, and connection. In contrast, her abstract work allows for complete freedom, where color and texture take the lead. Together, these two approaches form a cohesive body of work that invites viewers to experience both the internal and external worlds through her lens. She currently resides in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, NY with Zina and Zizi, who run the house and influence more of her work than they realize.
