HalcarandPortlock

Halcar is a small hobby kennel devoted to Smooth Fox Terriers. Halcar is a combination of my parent's first names, Hal and Carol. They founded Halcar in the late 1950s. Portlock is a primitive island in the North Channel of Lake Huron, Northern Ontario. I spent many an hour on this island, in our family cottage re-energizing and finding peace and calm. It was our family paradise for almost 60 years. Many of my photos combine my love for our dogs and the Upper Peninsula of Michigan and Northern Ontario.
