Hi, my name is Amber Armstrong. I was born and raised in Fairhope, Alabama. I'm a self taught artist. Most of my work is done with a black pen and colored with colored pencils. Sometimes I use whatever markers I happen to have. I paint occasionally, but I'm not that good at it. When I paint I work mostly with acrylics, but sometimes use watercolors. I've been drawing for as long as I can remember. Drawing was always encouraged by my family because my dad is an artist, he does oil paintings. When I was growing up I drew on whatever paper I had at the time. It started off with loose leaf or notebook ruled paper. Then I started getting my mom to buy me typing paper. I drew mostly animals and sometimes trees when I was a kid. I got in trouble quite a bit for drawing in class up until about 4th grade, after that I did my drawing at other times. I was a teenager when I started drawing dragons. I used to daydream a lot. Some of those dreams were about people who could turn into dragons and I was one of them. Dragons became my favorite thing to draw. My dragons haven't changed very much over the years.
