My two passions are championing (dis)ability and running. When I started my business, one of my aims was to offer products that embraced and celebrated both. I looked hard but couldn't find anything that promoted positive images of (dis)ability and running. So, I decided to invent my own - Diversity Designs! Diversity Designs is a collection of clothing and accessories that embraces us all. What I mean is a collection that illustrates, embraces, and celebrates the diversity of being human and, is, therefore, inclusive! To name a few examples, I mean able-bodied and (dis)abled, people, people of different races and religions, and young, old, slim, and curvy people! Diversity Designs values everyone equally and aims to include images that represent as many possibilities of being human as feasible. For me, Diversity Designs are inclusive and celebrate the differences we all have that make our society rich. Diversity Designs is a range of clothing and accessories that are focused not only on running but other physical activities as well. Physical activity is good for our physical and mental health. For some of us being active is an integral part of our everyday life, whereas other people need to start to move or move more! To encourage us to do so, or to celebrate what someone already does, I have included an affirmation on every product. An affirmation is a phrase that describes and celebrates who you are (or at least part of who you are!) Saying positive affirmations out-loud, a number of times a day can improve your mental health, self-esteem, and confidence is empowering and does you good! I am very proud of Diversity Designs and everyone that buys from this collection should be proud too! You are buying from a collection that, I believe, is a world first in terms of embracing the true meanings of diversity and inclusion. I hope whatever you buy makes you reflect on your views of diversity and inclusion, encourages you to move more, and, makes you feel better.
