Domestic Abuse Awareness Network (DAAN) is an Organization centered in the United States of America that is dedicated to raising abuse awareness within our borders. We provide up to date media coverage, informative resources, links and tips to intervention & prevention, evacuation & relocation plans, guidance to government agencies & shelters and information on how to make our laws tougher on abusers. We believe that by providing all current news & information to the public we will acquire the means to stop the abuse! We are mentors who have made a commitment to do everything in our power to help the abused find their voice, to speak for those too young to speak for themselves and to open the eyes of those who look the other way. Our focus is on all forms of abuse that affect our female and child citizens. This includes inside and outside the home, from personal relationships to strangers, from rape to child molestation, from kidnapping to child trafficking. If it is in the news we will report it! If there is a solution we will find it! If there is a place to get help, we will post it! We believe that every woman, infant and child has the right to live in security and health, and we are committed to providing them with the tools they need to begin the journey toward recovery. We are also a referral service and will provide victims and survivors with any information they are searching for. If you can't find it or don't know what direction to turn...come to us and we will find it for you. All services are free of charge. We now have an online product store, all items are available by donation and give us the means to do outreach programs. Our organization is split into two divisions: DAAN which focuses on Women and CAAN (child abuse awareness network) which focuses on Children. If you or someone you know is in an emergency situation, PLEASE, call 911. "We gain strength, and courage, and confidence by each experience in which we really stop to look fear in the face... we must do that which we think we cannot." ~ Eleanor Roosevelt
