À propos
I first became involved in art when my mother gave me a wood burning kit. In art, the correct term is pyrography, but they didn't have the internet for me to look it up then, just the World Book Encyclopedia. At thirteen I helped a lady move into her ceramics shop and she taught me how to do slip cast ceramics. At nineteen, a friend of mine who was a wood carver and jewelry maker taught me the basics of wood carving. At twenty I was taking tourists' pictures and doing boudoir photography in New Orleans. At thirty-five I learned how to do serigraphy the old fashioned way, with film and a darkroom to make my screens. I much prefer a computer for that. Now, at sixty, I'm still learning and I hope that my art will be as enjoyable to those who come to possess it as it is for me to create.
