This store is the essence of the values and interests I developed in my early adulthood back in the 70's. It was a time of great tumult, urgency, but still optimism. We were the young generation who weren't afraid to question our elders when there was reason to suspect less than noble purpose in some of their actions. We saw urgency in regard to global warning. We recognized that there were many who put their own financial benefit ahead of the eventual survival or demise of the planet. After all, they knew they would be long gone by the time the worst actual physical affects of global warming could be felt in the most dramatic of ways It is said that for the most part what will become our lifelong values comes into greater focus and remains with us when we are in our early adulthood. For me that is undeniably true and I'm grateful. When they say, "Once a Hippie, Always a Hippie," I've got to say I agree.
