My family springs from a seafaring heritage and I feel the spirit of an old sea captain, called "Commodore" sometimes inhabits my bones and inspires my nautical artwork. Bridges, lighthouses, beaches, ocean, waterfronts and all sorts of seascapes inspire me and touch some primal nerve in a way nothing else can match. A combination of photography and computer artistry best communicates my vision of the interplay of natural forces such as waves, wind and sky with man made objects like cities, lighthouses, boats and bridges. From my earliest days I have used a camera to focus my mind on tiny details, shapes, colors and interesting reflections and shadows. Some art classes left me wandering in search of something still to be found. Then one day the camera output and computer tools merged to become the media I now love so much.
