Birds International

In the late Summer of 2018, I established my first site on Zazzle, dedicated to the international families of majestic, often fiercely beautiful raptors. My Seller name, chosen for these Bazas, Buzzards, Eagles, Falcons, Hawks and more, is Sky_Hunters. I do a tremendous amount of searching to locate the usually very rare illustrations I post. I pore through journals and books, published in the late 18th Century, the entire 19th Century, the first half of the 20th Century. The texts are printed in English, French, Spanish, German, Dutch, Swedish, Italian, Hungarian, Russian, Japanese, and more. Again and again, I saw, admired and passed up so many absolutely beautiful artworks for birds; images very few people will ever locate, and I didn't post them because they aren't raptors. It's been almost 2 years since I started selling as Sky_Hunters. That work will continue, but I'm ready for a greater vision. Birds International will showcase the other birds, possessing extraordinary variety in size, plumage coloration, evolved body adaptation, elegance, aerodynamic biology, and so often, exceptional beauty and elegance. Their realms include the electric outlines and Neon lights of metropolises, the contrast of wild, windswept steppe regions, tropical forests, sparse tree lines clinging to mountain heights, vast oceans and oceans of desert sand, with waves of dunes. These birds live on fragile coral reefs, coral atolls, the edge of continents, ice shelves, cliff faces, across the great plains and savanna. From volcanic islands to the North and South Poles, they are everywhere. Now I'm ready to turn on the spotlights and give them, so many of them, their well deserved close-ups.
