Since 1979, Animal Protection of New Mexico has been advocating for animals by effecting systemic change, working towards the humane treatment of all animals. This includes active support of local and state legislation towards the prevention of animal cruelty. Working with our legislative arm, Animal Protection Voters, in communities throughout the state, we've helped retire chimps to sanctuary, fund spay/neuter, provide safe haven for animals affected by domestic violence, banned coyote killing contests, and so much more.
