Andrea Vitali is an internationally acclaimed illustrator who has lived and worked in both Italy and Ireland. Andrea began developing his drawing and cartooning skills as a child. Having graduated in 2005 from L'Accademia Delle Belle Arti University in Torino, Italy. Andrea worked for some of the leading Italian cartoon companies. He is currently working as a freelance graphic designer and digital illustrator in the United States but has never abandoned traditional illustration and painting techniques. Art has always been a passion to him. He has illustrated many children's books that promote children's well-being and is happy to be using his talent to convey good principles. Andrea's wife, Elena, handles public relations and acts as Andrea's agent for his work as an illustrator. Currently living in Dublin, Andrea and Elena are also developing "The Green Family Project", an eco-friendly, family oriented project whose aim is to teach children respect both for the environment through education about recycling and for one's family and self through education about disease prevention and health. This venture reflects Andrea's background in quantum physics and environmental science and Elena's undergraduate work in nursing (she holds a BSN Bachelor of Science in G.Nursing from UCD). Combining Andrea's talent to reach children through his illustrations and Elena's passion to help children manage diseases such as asthma and diabetes, they hope to work towards improving the lives of children everywhere.
