In the wake of the terrorist attack on 9-11, Betta Place, Inc., educational non-profit foundation was created to honor all 9-11 victims. Without taking time from classroom teaching, and for free, Betta Place, Inc. curriculum teaches communication skills, quiet time, service work and goal setting. Pilot program school statistics show that math and reading scores are up and discipline problems are down, especially bullying. On 9-11, artist Rob Nason lost his brother-in-law Frederick John Cox, who died on the 104th floor of the World Trade Center. Rob's FreddyFrog painting is the Betta Place, Inc. mascot who travels the universe sharing his message "Live the song in your heart!"
