東海道五十三次之内　箱根　湖水図（tōkaidō gojyū san tsugi no uchi, hakone kosui zu / とうかいどう ごじゅうさんつぎ の うち はこね こすいず / 10th station : Hakone ; Lake Ashinoko, from the series Fifty-three Stations of the Tōkaidō） ＊The Fifty-three Stations of the Tōkaidō are the most famous landscape woodcut by the ukiyoe artist 歌川 広重( Utagawa Hiroshige ) [1797-1858]. ＊The Tōkaidō was an important roadway connecting 江戸 {Yedo (present-day Tokyo)} and 京都 (Kyoto). Please enjoy the sights and sounds of the travelers who traveled along the road's post towns. ＊This image is a reprint based on the 保永堂版 (Hoeidō edition).
