Back for my monthly "Face in the Woods " visit...
I'd be happy to send some cool temps. from California, but a small earthquake may be attached....My youngest is thrilled to have an internship this summer at USGS in Menlo Park where they monitor earthquake activity and investigate other geological stuff....He rides his bike from our house to work daily. I've heard that cataract surgery is like a little miracle...so glad it has worked out for your hubby. Sorry about your Phillies MY GIANTS ARE ON A WINNING STREAK! Sneak peak....

Like others, this great photo has brought me back again!
I hurried on over to your gallery because I read the delightful story - and thank goodness with a happy ending- about the little baby raccoon. Oh, the universe thanks you for standing watch and making sure that Mommy did make her way back. Sometimes I have to change channels on wild animal shows when the adults of one species are about to make a meal of another specie's babies. I know it's the animal kingdom, but ... boo hoo. By any remote possibility, is the IMAX movie 'Born To Be Wild" showing in any theaters in your area? The orangutan portion is the care center where my husband and I volunteer! Some of our favorite orphans are in the show! I hope you are having a good summer.

I'm off to a visit my sons' elementary school in the wooded hills of Hillsborough for a 3 hour musical marathon honoring the 20th anniversary of their violin instructor, Sin-Tung Chiu. My just married son Tristan is opening the event with a duet with his Menuhin teacher....As always I enjoy communicating with you and your "talking tree"...
